Wired and Tired

With everything happening in the world right now, you may be feeling tired, but when you go to rest, your body seems wired? What is that about?

It may mean that your nervous system is stuck.

Your body is remarkably brilliant, which is both good news and bad news in our modern society. The bad news is that this is why you can’t think your way out of stress or just do enough “self-care” to help you feel restored.

The good news is that we can find peace, restoration, and energy through communicating with our bodies in a whole new way.

Chronic stress lives in the body, and healing starts there. Have you ever felt constantly “on edge,” exhausted but unable to rest, or like your mind just won’t shut off?

That’s not just anxiety—it’s your nervous system working overtime.
When we’re exposed to prolonged stress—whether from trauma, burnout, illness, or life demands—our autonomic nervous system can get stuck in survival mode: fight, flight, or freeze. Over time, this dysregulation can manifest as:

Chronic anxiety or irritability
Digestive issues
Fatigue and insomnia
Autoimmune flare-ups
Brain fog and low mood

In my therapy practice, I take a trauma-informed, somatic, and integrative approach to stress healing. That means we don’t just talk about your stress—we help your body release it.

Using tools like:
1. Somatic Experiencing to calm your stress responses
2. EMDR to process stored trauma
3. Integrative nutrition & lifestyle guidance to support your system holistically

Together, we gently help the nervous system return to a state of regulation, safety, and rest.

If you’ve been stuck in stress for too long, I want you to know this:

– You don’t have to push through.
– You don’t have to do it alone.
– You can begin healing—gently, with support.

I’m currently accepting new telehealth clients across California and Arizona.
